Privacy policy

In short

Ometto doesn't ask you for an account. Your workouts, routes and health data stay on your iPhone, your watch and in Apple's Health app. We don't receive them.

The waitlist keeps only your email address, to tell you about the beta and the launch.

Who is responsible

In the app

Health: with your permission, Ometto reads and saves workouts, heart rate and related measurements (VO2 max, HRV, resting heart rate) to show your history and analysis. This data stays on your devices.

Location: during a workout, and when you use the map, Ometto uses your location on the device. It is not sent to our servers.

Route planning: when you create a route, the points you place are sent to our routing server, hosted by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in France (Paris region) and reached through Cloudflare. They are only used to compute the route and are not kept; technical logs don't contain these points and truncate IP addresses.

Maps: offline maps are downloaded from our Cloudflare R2 storage, located in the European Union. As with any download, the request contains your device's IP address.

Purchases: subscriptions go through the App Store. Apple handles payment; we never see your name or your card.

Waitlist

Data: your email address and the date you confirmed it. The page language is used to send the confirmation email in your language.

Purpose: writing to you about the beta and the launch. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (unsubscribe link in every email, or by email to contact@ometto.eu).

Email provider: Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Paris), data hosted in the European Union. You are asked to confirm by email before you are added. Retention: until you unsubscribe, and at most 12 months after launch.

The website

This site sets no cookies and does not measure its audience.

Hosting: Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States. Cloudflare is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, erase or port your data, and object to its processing, by writing to contact@ometto.eu. We reply within one month. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL: cnil.fr).
